Paperwork 2017-2026

As preliminary studies, visual notes, and records of lived experience, Scott Galván has made drawing on paper a fundamental part of his creative practice. Over the years, he has compulsively amassed an archive of documents, drawings, and sketches that traces the genesis and evolution of his work while charting the construction of an ever-expanding visual universe.
Designed by Olga Borda and Scott Galván, with texts by Pablo Arredondo Vera, Montserrat Fernández de Bergia, and Luis F. Muñoz, PAPERWORK 2017–2026 is an artist’s book featuring a selection of works on paper produced over the past nine years.
Conceived as an archive in itself, the publication recreates the experience of accumulation, preservation, and containment, echoing both the archive and the object that holds it.
